Type locality. WC: Riversdale Mts, at ca. 450–1000 m asl.

Remarks. Pickford (1937: 554) under the heading “ Chilota tenuis ” gives a short key for the two subspecies, pointing to slight differences in the diameter of the penial setae, and indicating the geographical separation of the subspecies. The subspecies Ch. tenuis tenuis and Ch. tenuis tenuior are described in detail. In this checklist the subspecies are accepted, although revision and evaluation of the characters separating the subspecies is suggested.
