Type locality. EC, Umtata area, mouth of the Umtata-Umtata river.

Distribution. Known from Pondoland, in the north-eastern part of Eastern Cape (previously known as Transkei). Few sites at the mouth of Umtata-Umtata river.

Remarks. Holotype NMSA/Olig.01068. SMNH ‘Type-2656’. Upon examination of the species description and the type material it became clear that the assemblage of characters indicates that this species belongs to the genus Parachilota, and Plisko (2006) already listed it in this genus.
