Parachilota avesiculus (Ljungström, 1969) comb. nov.

Type locality. WC, Knysna Forest.

Distribution. Type locality only, at coastal-belt of the south-eastern Western Cape.

Remarks. Holotype NMSA/Olig.03822. Paratype NMSA/Olig.03826. Upon examination of the species description and the type material it became clear that the assemblage of characters indicates that this species should be transferred to the genus Parachilota . The species is characterized by acanthodrilinae characters (two pairs of prostates with their pores in 17 and 19, male pores in 18, and minute spermathecal pores on anterior margin in segment 8 and 9). Reynolds & Cook (1976) informed that the type material was allocated at the AMSA, at present not confirmed.
