Type locality. WC, Knysna Forest, Deep Walls Researh Hill, native forest.

Distribution. Known from a number of sites in coastal-belt, bordering the Eastern and Western provinces. WC, Knysna Forest: Deep Walls Researh Hill various biotopes, six samples; Gardens of Eden; Buffels Nek. Witte Fontein on Knysna-Avontuur road. EC: Humansdorp and its vicinity: Witte Els Bosch near Witte Els Berg; Damant’s Farm. Storms River, forest, bank of the river. Tsitsikamma National Park.

Remarks. ‘ Type material’ BMNH 1938.7.1.433–442 (part.). Syntype ZMB Verm. 10791. SAMC A21721 with a note ‘n.sp’. Other material: HNHM AF/2538, AF/2574, AF/2578; NMSA/Olig.01265.
