Type locality. WC, Cape Peninsula, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, bank of stream below the road near entrance to the Gardens.

Distribution. Known only from Cape Peninsula’s Table Mtn foothills at south-east area. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens: by streams in Chestnut Avenue; between Window and Skeleton Gorges. Paradise Estate, near Kirstenbosch, below Lady Anne Barnard’s ruined house. Constantia Nek below Hout Bay, bank of stream.

Remarks. ‘ Type material’ BMNH 1938.7.1.131. Other material: three jars with inserted notes ‘n. sp.’ with no confirmation on type status: BMNH 1938.7.1.132, 1938.7.1.142, 1938.7.1.153; one tube SAMC A21720.
