Type locality. WC, ‘Cape Peninsula, Table Mts, Newlands slope’.

Distribution. Species noted also by Pickford (1937) from Cape Peninsula’s Table Mtn variable biotopes: Waterfall Ravine, Devil's Peak at ca. 600 m asl, near stream, and at ca. 600–760 m asl, north side. Platteklip Gorge: waterfall near Contour Path in moss and near top at the foot of cliff, in moss.

Remarks. Syntypes: ZMH V-7847; SAMC 359; BMNH 1938.7.1.1448. Other material: BMNH 1938.7.1.1449–1457, 1938.7.1.1458–1472; in jars are numerous topotypic specimens collected by Pickford and variable notes.
