Type locality. KZN, Ncandu Nature Reserve, grassland, plateau above Ulumbi river, under moist moss and wet sandy soil.

Distribution. Known from few sites at extended plateau of the Drakensberg range in north-western KZN located at bank of Umlumbi river: under grassland, moist rocks with overspilling water. Grassland plateau, various sites between roots of diverse plants.
