Type locality. WC, Bosch Rivier, Groenfontain, southern slopes of Zwartberg, north of Oudtshoorn.

Distribution. Known from Zwartberg mountain range, in south-eastern coastal-belt of Western Cape. Few variable biotopes in type locality area: moss growing on the waterfall; wooded ‘kloof’; rock face near the waterfall; wet loamy soil under the leaf mould; damp rotting wood. Rust-en-Vrede. Oudtshoorn Municipal Waterworks, moss and loamy soil near the waterfall.

Remarks.? Type SAMC A21598. Paratype NMSA/Olig.03015. ‘ Type material’ BMNH 1938.7.1.1559–89. Other material: BMNH 1938.7.1.1590–1623 with a note: ‘non type … but label says n.sp.’. Number of specimens labelled variably with notes on mounting methods. (Information taken from BMNH database).
