Parachilota pickfordius (Ljungström, 1969) comb. n.
Udeina pickfordia Ljungström, 1969: 182 . (*see Genus Parachilota . Remarks) Udenia [printing error for Udeina] pickfordia: Reynolds & Cook 1976: 155 .
Type locality. LP, Woodbush Forest.
Distribution. Type locality only, in the Magoebaskloof area of most northern South African province (lying within great curve of the Limpopo river, = earlier known as Northern Transvaal province).
Remarks. After examination of the species description it became clear that the acanthodrilinae characters (two pairs of prostates with pores in 17 and 19, male pores in 18, and spermathecae in segment 8 and 9) indicate that this species belongs to genus Parachilota . Location of type material is not known. Reynolds & Cook (1976) indicate its presence in TMSA (now DITSONG), however, this is not confirmed here.
