Remarks. Pickford (1937: 389) under the heading “ Parachilota ruficeps ” gives a key to subspecies based on distinctions observed in the ornamentation of penial setae. The subspecies P. ruficeps ruficeps and P. r u fi ce p s progrediens are then described in detail, the close similarity of the subspecies is discussed, and suggestions for additional studies are made. In this checklist the subspecies are accepted, although revision of this species is suggested.
