Type locality. WC, Groote ‘Zwartberg’ near Bosch Rivier waterfall.

Distribution. Known from the Swartberg Mountains in Oudtshoorn area in the south-eastern Western Cape: type locality and its neighbourhood at wooded ‘kloof’ of river bank and in Rust-en-Vrede, Oudtshoorn Municipal Waterworks, in moss and loamy soil among the roots.

Remarks. Paratype SAMC A20617. Syntype ZMB Verm. 4224. Other material BMNH 1938.7.1.892–926. The species and type locality names refer to Swartberg Mountain Range in Oudtshorn area.
