Host remarks. This species is highly polyphagous, attacking cultivated plants, such as tomato ( Solanum lycopersicum L.), watermelon ( Citrullus lanatus (Thunb) Matson & Nakai) cucumber ( Cucumis sativus L.) and lettuce ( Lactuca sativa L.) as well as a diversity of wild and ornamental hosts (Spencer 1973a; Benavent-Corai et al. 2005). Spencer (1973a) and Papp & Černý (2017: 84) provided a detailed description of the life habits and developmental stages of L. bryoniae . Minkenberg & van Lenteren (1986) provided a good review of its hosts, life habits and parasitoids. Lonsdale et al. (2023) gave valuable information on the biology, taxonomy, host plants, distribution, damage caused and parasitoids attacking this species.
