Distribution. First recorded from Saudi Arabia, this species is new for the fauna of the Gambia. This species was described from Cameroun and was further recorded from Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa (Natal) and Uganda (Cogan 1980).
Host remarks. This species has been reared from C. purpureum and C. pedicillatus (Trin) Morrone (Spencer 1973a) .
