Material examined. SAUDI ARABIA: 1♂, Asir, Abha, Hay Al-Nusub, 3–30.v.2014, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah (NMWC).

Distribution. This genus and species are first records from Saudi Arabia. Amauromyza (Amauromyz a) leonuri is known from Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary (Papp & Černý 2016), and Ukraine (Guglya 2021).

Host remarks. The known host-plants of Amauromyza leonuri are Lamium album L. ( Lamiaceae) (Papp & Černý 2016) and Leonuri L. (Benavent-Corai et al. 2005), Betonica officinalis L. ( Lamiaceae), Phlomoides tuberosa (L.), Moench ( Lamiaceae) and Ballota nigra L. ( Lamiaceae) (Guglya 2021). There is only a single species of Amauromyza Hendel listed by Cogan (1980) from Africa and this is A. triseta Spencer, 1959 from which it can be separated by a combination of wing veins measurements.
