Scolia (Discolia) apakaensis Tsuneki, 1972a: 28, ♀, China (type in Fukui University, Fukui).

Distribution. China (Neimenggu).

Note. We have examined some specimens of S. schrenckii from Tajikistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkestan and its lectotype images by Lelej & Mokrousov (2017) and compared these with the description and drawing of S. apakaensis by Tsuneki (1972). Only the small differences listed in the key could be found, and considering the distribution of S. apakaensis (Inner Mongolia), we suspect S. schrenckii and S. apakaensis belong to the same species. We prefer to retain S. apakaensis as a valid species until we can examine the types and additional specimens from Inner Mongolia.
