Remarks: DNA barcodes recorded as K. intermedia are associated with two BINs, BOLD: AAD4883, and BOLD:AAM3704. The BIN, BOLD:AAD4883 contains DNA barcodes from Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak, Borneo while BIN, BOLD:AAM3074 contains only a single DNA barcode (BM012-03) from Sabah, Borneo (Fig 6). Whether the DNA barcode, BM012- 03 represents a cryptic species, a case of mis-identification, or a case of high intraspecific variation remains to be determined.

The roosting ecology of K. intermedia remains unknown but the species has been recorded in the understory of lowland forest [11, 14].
