Brachygluta (Brachygluta)
Members of this subgenus have: median mesosternal fovea present, body moderately to finely punctate, median antebasal pronotal fovea larger, ranging from same width to about two-thirds width of lateral foveae; males with antennomeres of antennal club simple, abdominal tergites 1–3 often obviously modified, those with simpler tergites have transverse carina or spine at base of tergite 2, one species ( B. infinita) without tergal modifications. Species present over much of North America and northern Mexico.
