Ampullaria pesmei Morlet, 1889: 185, pl. 8, fig. 2. Type material — lectotype (Cowie & Héros 2012: 812): MNHN 4508. Type locality —“Phnom-Penh (Cambodge)”. Distribution — Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, probably Burma / Myanmar (Annandale 1920a: 5, 24; Brandt 1974: 51).
Remarks. Valid species, teste Kobelt (1912b: 88), Annandale (1920a: 5, 24), in Pila, teste, Brandt (1974: 51), Keawjam (1986: 61, 1987: 69, 1990: 1) and Cowie & Héros (2012: 812) .
pilula
Ampullaria pilula Reeve, 1856a: pl. 3, fig. 12 [June], [pl. 8, fig. 36 (August), pl. 25, figs. 11b, 121 (December)]. Type material — syntypes: NHMUK 20140842 (2 spms., one marked “ Type ” on the shell). Type locality —“Borneo” [? error].
Remarks. Valid species, teste Kobelt (1912b: 87). Synonym of adusta Reeve, teste G.B. Sowerby III (1910: 56), Alderson (1925: 77) and Pain (1961: 22), followed here. Locality given as “Accra?, W. Coast of Africa” by Alderson (1925: 87). Pilsbry & Bequaert (1927: 176) doubted that it is African.

Remarks. Unjustified replacement name for virescens Deshayes, and therefore a junior objective synonym of virescens, with the same name-bearing type (Code, Art. 72.7). For further discussion see Cowie & Héros (2012: 813, 819).
