Lanistes neritoides Brown & Berthold, 1990: 123, figs. 1–10, 11a–e, 12–37. Type material — holotype [by original designation]: MNHN 4515; paratypes: MNHN 4516 (20 spms., including 15 separate opercula), MNHN 4517 (28 spms., in alcohol), NHMUK 1989.127 (2 spms.), NHMUK 1989.128 (2 spms., in alcohol), Danish Bilharziasis Laboratory, Charlottenlund (2 spms.) (Brown & Berthold 1990: 121; Cowie & Héros 2012: 808). Type locality —“Region de Sounda (District de Kayes, 85 kms au N.E. de Pointe Noire), fleuve Kouilou – affluent du Kouilou: la Mombi” [Republic of the Congo]. Distribution —only known from the type locality (Brown 1994: 66).
