Lanistes bicarinatus Germain, 1907c: 428, fig. 27. Type material — holotype [by monotypy: “Un exemplaire”]: location unknown. Type locality —“Brazzaville”. Distribution —Lower Congo and Ubangi Rivers (Brown 1980: 49, 1994: 59).

Remarks. Valid species, teste Pilsbry & Bequaert (1927: 193), Brown (1980: 49, 1994: 59) and Berthold (1991: 246), who all placed it in Lanistes s . str.
