Holotype male. Kenya, Aberdare Range, Fishers Lodge, 2900 m, January 2001. Depository MfN.

Additional paratype material. 19 males, 17 female, same data as holotype . 1 male, 2 females, Kenya, Aberdare Range, grassy roadside vegetation, 2518 m, January 2001. Collection C. Hemp.

Description. Male. Color pattern of green and various shades of brown and black (Fig. 10 E). Abdomen. Processes of 10th abdominal tergite at tips broadly inwardly rolled. Processes forming an oval-shaped gap between them (Fig. 11 C). Most individuals with pair of dark patches on 10th abdominal tergite. Inner branch of male cercus short, little curved (Fig. 11 D).

Female. Colour pattern as male. Ovipositor typical for genus. Subgenital plate as in Fig. 5 F.

Measurements male (mm) (N=10). Length of body 9.5–10.8 (mean: 10.1), length of pronotum 4.5–5.3 (mean: 4.8), length of anterior femur 2.0–2.3 (mean: 2.2), length of posterior femur 8.3–8.8 (mean: 8.6), visible part of elytra from above 0.3–0.7 (mean: 0.5).

Measurements female (mm) (N=10). Length of body 9.5–12.3 (mean: 11.0), length of pronotum 3.2–3.6 (mean: 3.4), length of anterior femur 2.2–2.3 (mean: 2.2), length of posterior femur 8.5–9.2 (mean: 8.9), ovipositor 7.8–8.7 (mean: 8.0).

Diagnosis. See P. keniensis .

Habitat and distribution. Moorland zone and grasslands on the Aberdare range. Recorded between 2500– 2900 m.
