Distribution. T. conturbata is a widespread species in the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa. From Ethiopia it is mentioned by Dirsh (1966), Jago (1977) and Baccetti (1996).
Remarks. The species is characterized by a single white preapical band on the inner side of the femur, and the absence of longitudinal rows of black spots on the ventral and dorsal side of the abdomen. The wing is deep yellow basal half and infumated in the apical half (Dirsh 1966).
For two of our specimens this description applies (from Makira Forest, 1615 m). However, other two specimens have a more hyaline wing, which is only slightly infumated, and a tegmen that proceeds longer behind the hind knee. For now we conclude it might be intraspecific variation, but further study will be required to check this.
