Material examined. ETHIOPIA: Addis Ababa 28.II.1992, M. Sarà (1Ƌ, 1♀) (BMPC).

Distribution. S. abyssinica is endemic for the central highlands of Ethiopia.

Remarks. Described by Uvarov (1934) in the genus Parasphena Bolívar, 1884, it has been transferred to Stenoscepa Karsch, 1896 by Dirsh (1961) and treated as such by Rowell et al. (2015).
