World distribution. Chile.
Chileand distribution. From Coquimbo to Ñuble region (Fig. 110).
Altitudinal range. From inland valleys to precordillera ecosystems (350– 1,400 m.a.s.l.).
Biology and notes. Tropidia nigricornis is associated with Mediterranean forests. It has been observed visiting E. paniculatum (R. Barahona-Segovia, pers. obs.). Other data about the biology or ecology of this species are unknown.
Conservation status. LC; EOO = 88,116 km 2; AOO = 64 km 2 and 16 localities (or subpopulations).
