World distribution. Chile.

Chilean distribution. From Atacama to Coquimbo region (Fig. 110).

Altitudinal range. This species inhabits inland valley ecosystems (380– 500 m.a.s.l.).

Biology. Tropidia flavimana is associated with shrubland of the Atacama Desert. This species has been observed visiting ‘huingán’ ( Schinus polygama) (Cav.) Cabrera (R. Barahona-Segovia pers. obs.). Other aspects of its biology and ecology remain unknown in Chile.

Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 20 km 2 and five localities (or subpopulations); EOO = 22,153 km 2.
