World distribution. Chile.
Chilean distribution. From Arica y Parinacota to Ñuble region (Fig. 110).
Altitudinal range. From coastal to highland ecosystems (0–2,150 m.a.s.l.).
Biology and notes. Tropidia rubricornis is a species with a wide distribution and associated to different ecosystems. It has been collected in ‘Chilca’ plants ( Baccharis sp.). No other data is known about the biology of this species.
Conservation status. VU under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 32 km 2 and six localities (or subpopulations); EOO = 208,406 km 2.
