World distribution. Argentina and Chile.
Chilean distribution. From Los Ríos to Los Lagos region (Fig. 10).
Altitudinal range. From inland valleys to the highland ecosystems (500– 2,500 m.a.s.l.).
Biology and notes. Chromocheilosia pubescens is associated with the Valdivian forest. Habitat loss generated by urbanization, forestry or croplands are the main thrair to this forest species (Miranda et al., 2017). Other aspects about its biology and ecology remain unknown.
Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 8 km 2, two localities and two subpopulations.
