Biology and notes. Thompson (1972b) comments that the genus Desmetrum has not been seen by him and appears to be a synonym of Chamaesphegina . Hull (1949b) and Fluke (1956) suggest the possibility that the species could be a synonym of Ch. argentifascies . Photos taken to the type specimen deposited in ZMHU suggest that this species resembles Ch. argentifascies (Eliana Buenaventura & Zöe Simons pers. comm.).

Conservation status. Not evaluated because absence of occurrences.
