World distribution. U.S. A, Argentina and Chile.

Chilean distribution. Only recorded fom Arica y Parinacota region (Fig. 65).

Altitudinal range. This species inhabits transverse valleys between 100 and 500 m. a.s.l.

Biology and notes. Palpada vinetorum is here reported from Chile for the first time. This species inhabits the Azapa valley and surrounding areas probably associated with crops. It could pontentially be present in Peru. All biological and ecological aspects of this species are unknown.

Conservation status. DD; AOO = 2 km 2 and one locality (or subpopulation).
