World distribution. Chile.
Chilean distribution. This species has been recorded only for Coquimbo and Maule region (Fig. 197).
Altitudinal range. From coastal to inland valley ecosystems (2– 491 m.a.s.l.).
Biology and notes. The habitat of P. schoenemanni has been intensively replaced with crops or urbanization, mainly in central Chile where many native ecosystems already are threatened (Alaniz et al., 2016). On the other hand, Maulino forest has been replaced by forestry (Miranda et al., 2017) decreasing the habitat quality. Therefore, we applied precautory principle to assign a Red List classification to this species. All basic aspects of its biology and ecology remain unknown.
Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 8 km 2 and two localities (or subpopulations).
