Type species: Homogryllacris gladiata Liu, 2007 .
Diagnosis. Body small to medium sized. Frons smooth. Ocelli small or indistinct. Tegmina and hind wings developed or reduced, sometimes absent. If with wings, M vein of tegmina simple, free, not united with R vein; hind wings hyaline. Second and third abdominal tergites each with 2 rows of transverse stridulatory teeth on lateral margins. Male ninth abdominal tergite without processes; tenth abdominal tergite narrow, ribbon-liked, with a pair of processes; subgenital plate with styli.
