Distribution. China (Sichuan, Yunnan), Myanmar.

Remarks. Laszlo et al. (2007) treated this subspecies as a species, mentioned its closest related species of T. albicostata, and gave the diagnosis. However, after examining our specimens, we find that the genital characters given in the diagnosis are variable within the species. The socii of T. subampliata sometimes are not slenderer than that of albicostata (fig. 12), the valva of T. subampliata sometimes is not broader (fig. 13), and the signum is not narrower (fig. 32). The external characters in the diagnosis could be considered as distinctions at subspecies level only. So it is reasonable to regard subampliata as a subspecies of T. albicostata .
