Smetana, 2007: 43 ( Ocypus; subgenus Pseudocypus; Type locality: China, Sichuan, Jingping Shan); Smetana, 2008: 170 (China, Sichuan); Schülke & Smetana, 2015: 1094 ( Ocypus; subgenus Pseudocypus; Catalog of Palaearctic Region).

Distribution. Ocypus teuthras is at present known from Jingping Shan in Sichuan Province.
