Genus Conapium Motschulsky, 1866

The only New Caledonian species, endemic to Lifou (Loyalty Is.) Conapium piscidiae (Montrouzier, 1860), belongs to the widespread Oriental C. nitidulum —species group, in which males have mucronate mid- and hind tibiae. According to its original description by P. Montrouzier, this weevil was collected from Orobus piscidia (Fabaceae) .
