Amphidraus tanimuca sp. nov.

Type. Holotype: male from Estación Biológica Mosiro Itájura (Caparú), Lago Taraira, Taraira, Vaupés, Colombia, 200 m, 1.066667°N, 69.516667°W, II–IV.2004, J. Pinzón (ICN –Ar 6775).

Etymology. The epithet is a noun in apposition and honors the indigenous people of the Tucanoan language family, the Tanimuca people, which inhabits the Vaupés and Amazonas departments, in the low Apaporis river region, and whose language and culture are endangered.

Diagnosis. Males of A. tanimuca sp. nov. are similar to those of A. guaitipan sp. nov. and A. sikuani sp. nov. by the shape of the RTA. However, they can be recognized from those by the presence of a laminar three-pointed RTA, longer embolus, rounded tegular lobe (TL) and very long embolic filament (EF) (Figs 11d–f, 22i –l).

Description. Male (holotype). Total length: 2.38. Carapace dark brown, 1.20 long, 0.94 wide, 0.61 high (Fig. 18e). OC black 0.60 long. Anterior eye row 0.96 wide and posterior 0.86 wide. Sternum 0.53 long, 0.42 wide. Labium 0.12 long, 0.20 wide. Chelicerae with six tiny retromarginal and two promarginal teeth. Palp dark brown with femur and patella with long white hairs, and tibia with a laminar three-pointed RTA (Figs 11e–f); bulb with a rounded tegular lobe (TL) and process on embolic disc (PED), and a long and curved embolic filament (EF) (Figs 11d, 22i –l). Legs 4312, all yellow with brown marks. Leg macrosetae: tibia, I v 2-2 -2; II v 1-1 -2, p 1 di; III v 1 me, p 1-1, r 1-1; IV v 1 pr, p 1-1, r 1-1; metatarsus, I v 2-2; II v 2-2, p 1 di; III v 1-2, p 1 di, r 2 di; IV v 1-2, p 1 di, r 1- 2. Abdomen brown with clear transverse stripes (Fig. 18e).

Female. Unknown.

Comments. The holotype male was collected in a primary Amazonian wet forest, together with the holotype male of A. colombianus sp. nov.

Distribution. Colombia (Vaupés) (Fig. 27). Known altitudinal distribution: 200 m.
