Material: Three specimens: As Salt 1.IX.1993 (1Ψ); Wadi Shuqayq 24.IX.2002 (2ɗ).
Distribution: Afrotropical: Chad, Eritrea, GuineaBissau, Nigeria, Senegal. Palaearctic: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Greece, Gruzia, Iran, Italy, Kyrgyz Republic, Macedonia, Oman, Palestine, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yugoslavia.
Greathead (1967) suggested that this species is a parasite of mud dauber wasps ( Sphecidae) (ElHawagry et al 2000) and has also been reared from megachilid bees (du Merle, 1975).
