C. (Pseudochlaeniellus) nigrosuturatus Mandl, 1978: 271
Material. NEPAL: Holotype, ♀ — “ Parwanipur-Farm, Birgani, Nepal, Sept. 1971, coll. R. Davidson ” (CMNH) ; INDIA: 6 ♂, 6 ♀ — “N India, Uttarakhand, 22.–23.IV. 2012, 8 km NW Jaspur, lake shore, 29°21’10,54‘‘N, 78°48’30,99‘‘E, A. Anichtchenko leg.“ (cAA) . THAILAND: 1 ♀ — “ Holotypus Chlaenius (Pseudochlaeniellus) hammondi sp. n., des. Kirschenhofer 2015”, “ Thailand, 11.–17.III.2008, P.M. Hammond, Sakon Nakhon Pr., Nam Phung Dam “ (BMNH).
Comments. Combination of glabrous tarsa and shagreen head, together with flat lateral margins of pronotum wider than in all species of Pseudochlaeniellus, clearly indicate that species was erroneously described as Pseudochlaeniellus . New combination is proposed here.
Single specimen, female, deposited in BMNH, with label “ Holotype C. (P.) hammondi mihi Kirschenhofer” was not described, and is conspecific with C. ( Chlaeniellus .) nigrosuturatus .
