The picture of the specimen from the UNCC has the fuscous spot at the apex of the anal area of the hind wing, which is characteristic of C. postica .
The species has been reported from Panama, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Colombia and Guatemala (Metcalf 1963c; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2010). Jacobi (1907) lists Cauca-Tal as a collecting site and Salazar Escobar (2005) lists Putomayo, Mocoa.
