Hexarhopalus (Hexarhopalus) sculpticollis Fairmaire, 1891: IX. Type locality: Neotype (designated by Purchart, 2009), Tianmushan National Nature Reserve, Lin’an County, Zhejiang Province, China; Bečvář & Purchart, 2008: 41; Ren & Xu, 2011: 25, record form Anhui, China.
Material examined (4 spec., 2 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀). 2 ♂♂, 1 ♀, CHINA: Zhejiang: labeled: ‘ China: Zhejiang, Lin’an City (ûaeḿ), Tianmushan N. R. (RhƜÞǿùếṽ), 14.VII.2018, H: 1250 m, Ri-Xin Jiang leg.’ (QUST) ; 1 ♀, la-beled: ‘ Zhjiang, Panan County (ȁaess), Dapanshan N. R. (ĘḂƜDZẎÞǿùếṽ), Longhuangkeng (żḇữ), 13.V.2011, Zhang Su-Jiong Leg’ (MYNU) .
Supplementary description. Male (Fig. 3A). Aedeagus (Figs 4 C–E), nearly symmetrical, abdominal ventrite VIII (Fig. 4F) deeply split medially at posterior margin and with long dense hair at hind margin. Spiculum gastrale (Fig. 4G) near symmetrical, short, with large apical lobes.
Female (Fig. 3B) similar to males, but larger. Ventrite VIII (Fig. 4H) slightly split medially at posterior margin and covered with long dense hairs. spiculum (Fig. 4H) tortuous at middle, apex rounded and slightly dilated. Apex of ovipositor (Fig. 4I) with one long hair and two much shorter hairs.
Distribution. China: Zhejiang, Anhui.
Remarks: Fairmaire (1891) recorded “Chang-Yang” from China as the original type locality of Hexarhopalus (Hexarhopalus) sculpticollis. Purchart (2009) designated the neotype based on the specimen from Zhejiang, China. The two studies both lack description of the genital characters. We hereby provide the supplementary descriptions with genital characters added .
