Type:— BOLIVIA. La Paz: Nor Yungas, Cocopunco, 3050 m, Tate 351 (holotype NY!, isotype US!).

Distribution and ecology:— Common in humid montane forests at (1500) 2200–3300 m in southernmost Peru (Puno) and adjacent Bolivia (La Paz).
