Diagnosis: Size about 22.5–25 µm. Bell or pear-shaped body, thinning posteriorly, less than twice as wide as it is long. Peduncle is slightly longer than the body, the distal end slightly curved. Pellicle cross streaked. Peristome slightly exceeds the width of the center of the body, the peristomial collar is revolute. Found in freshwater ponds over algae of genus Ceratophyllum .
