10. Cnephasia communana (Herrich-Schäffer, 1851)

Material examined. Mâzandarân Prov.: 3 ♀♀, Kelârdasht, Tuydareh, Mâzichâl, 1400 m, 24.v.2003, Gilâsiân, Nematiân leg. (GS: HA-1298) .

Distribution. Western Palaearctic from Iberian Peninsula to Karelia and Caucasus; Transcaucasia; Transural, southern Siberia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenia; northern Africa including Libya; Asia Minor (Razowski 2002).

Remarks. The genitalia of the examined females match those figured by Razowski (2002: 88); however, the colliculum is less sclerotized than the funnel-shaped antrum (Fig. 2B). This species is newly reported for the fauna of Iran.
