Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 6). Wingspan 11.0‒12.0 mm. Saridoscelis sphenias is characterized by having a broad sclerotized ring-shaped plate at the conjunction of the ductus bursae and the corpus bursae that bears a second sclerotized plate, and the signum being a large slender circle of fine spines in the female genitalia (Fig. 14).
