Meioneta unimaculata Chamberlin & Ivie 1944: 91 . (Transferred Ƥ from Bathyphantes). Agyneta unimaculata Buckle et al. 2001: 101 . (Transferred from Meioneta).

Type material: Bathyphantes unimaculata Banks 1892, 3 HOLOTYPE from New York, Ithaca. (unique number 23406). MCZ, EXAMINED. One male, one female and 2 juveniles in vial.

Diagnosis: Males are diagnosed from all other Agyneta species by their inverse S-shaped lamella characteristica and their dorsal tibial apophysis with row of spurs (Fig. 309). From A. parva by the presence of dorsal and ventral cymbial tubercles (Fig. 310), only dorsal cymbial tubercle present in A. parva (Fig. 291). Females are diagnosed from all species by their extremely narrow, curved epigynal slits (Fig. 313). To distinguish from A. parva and A. evadens see their diagnosis.

Description: Male: Total length 1.93; carapace length 0.85, width 0.61.

CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace yellow-brown, shiny, finely reticulate; lightly suffused with gray along radiating lines and pars cephalica. Sternum suffused with gray. Clypeus height 3. Chelicerae apical half yellow, basal half suffused with dark gray; not excavated; seta-tipped tubercles absent; promargin five denticles, retromargin four tiny denticles. Cheliceral stridulatory organ easily visible ~17 striae, widely spaced. ABDOMEN: Uniformly light to dark gray. LEGS: Light yellow, base of femur slightly suffused with dark gray; leg I total length: 2.98; leg III total length: 2.11; Tm I: 0.22, Tm IV: absent. GENITALIA: Palpal retrolateral tibial apophysis long and pointed; dorsal tibial apophysis curved with 4–5 pointed spurs; two retrolateral trichobothria and one dorsal (Fig. 309). Cymbium triangular; glabrous depression present (Fig 309); dorsal cymbial tubercle smooth; ventral cymbial tubercle rugose; prolateral notch shallow (Fig 310). Paracymbium apical pocket medium, anterior pocket long, posterior pocket absent (Fig. 309). Embolus tip narrow with small prong; one large spikes basally; numerous small spines ventrally; Fickert’s gland absent; ventral lamella reduced or absent; thumb reaching the embolus proper (Fig. 311). Embolus proper set apically on a vertical ridge, of equal part (Fig. 311). Anterior terminal apophysis wide with numerous, curved protrusions; posterior terminal apophysis narrow, tip curved fused to a wide lamella characteristica with one large prong (Fig. 312).

Female: Total length 1.83; carapace length 0.74, width 0.58.

CEPHALOTHORAX: Colorations as male. Clypeus height 3. Chelicerae promargin four denticles, retromargin three tiny denticles. Cheliceral stridulatory organ easily visible ~10 striae, well spaced. ABDOMEN: Coloration as male. LEGS: Coloration as male; palpal tarsal claw absent, palpal segments, strongly suffused with dark gray; leg I total length: 2.72; leg III total length: 2.03; Tm I: 0.25, Tm IV: absent. GENITALIA: Epigynum with wide proximal part of scape, slightly enlarging into a oval plate; epigynal slits extremely narrow and curved; pit hook depression indistinguishable (Fig. 313); lateral lobes very long with constriction (Fig. 313); stretcher medium; pit deep (Fig. 314). Median part of scape long and narrow; genital pores situated at base of lateral lobes pockets (Fig. 315). Internal genitalia with elongated ventral receptacula and small rounded dorsal one, vertically positioned (Figs 314, 315).
