Type locality. Caribbean Sea, Contoy Island, Quintana Roo, Mexico (21º29´N, 86º48´W), burrowing in rock fragments.

Type material. Holotype (LACM-AHF POLY 2192), paratypes (ECOSUR–0083, LACM-AHF POLY 2193). Records. Only known from type locality.
