Type locality. Holotype: Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico (18º42’39’’N, 87º42’33’’W), paratypes: British Virgin Islands (18º26’42’’N, 64º31’59’’W), Guana Island (18º28’27’’N, 64º34’29’’W, 18º28’48’’N, 64º34’23’’W, 18º27’28’’N, 64º45’01’’W).

Type material. Holotype (LACM-AHF POLY 2231), paratypes (LACM-AHF POLY 2240, 2236, 2237, 2239). Records. The species is only known from the type locality.
