Opinion: This species does occur in the region.
Justification:
Literature analysis: Thomson & Henderson (1906) misidentified a specimen as Junceella elongata (Pallas) that was renamed by Simpson as a new species Scirpearia thomsoni, which is actually a species of Ellisella but essentially unrecognisable from both the original and Simpson’s descriptions.
