Opinion: This species does occur in the region but its true identity is unknown.
Justification:
Literature analysis: This species was described without any sclerite illustrations and so remains unidentifiable. Among the sclerites that are stated to occur are long warty spindles and irregular forms with numerous long smooth spines arising from one side, and spindles that are bifurcated at both ends, indicating the species is unlikely to belong in Echinomuricea . Venkataraman et al. (2004) just list the species.
