Melithaea hicksoni (Nutting, 1911)

Acabaria hicksoni Nutting, 1911: 47, pl. 8, fig. 3, 3a; pl. 12, fig. 4 (Haingsisi, Indonesia).

Opinion: There is no evidence that this species occurs in the region.

Justification:

Literature analysis: This species was originally named Acabaria hicksoni for a specimen from Indonesia. Kumar et al. (2017: PY-B) and Kumar et al. (2019) just list the species as occurring in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands with a complete lack of evidence and no supporting references at all.
