Quinqueloculina sp. 5 (Fig. 11:6, 7)
Description. Quinqueloculine, slightly longer than wide, somewhat robust test. Chambers are slightly inflated and test walls are rough with some agglutinated grains. Dentition consists of a long, Y-shaped tooth within a broad Lachlanella -shaped aperture with a thin lip.
Remarks. This taxon remains unassigned due to its lack of abundance. It resembles CG specimens of Quinqueloculina sp. cf. Q. agglutinans but has a less heavily agglutinated test, more inflated chambers and a shorter, Y-shaped tooth. There is also a resemblance to Q. subpolygona in shape, aperture and wall texture, but has dentition where Q. subpolygona has none. The peripheral chambers are slightly inflated and do not bear peripheral carinae and the test wall has some agglutinated grains attached to the already roughened exterior.
Distribution within study area. Quinqueloculina sp. 5 was only found at site 2 along the ST/HW transect on Heron Reef flat.
